In this position you will be working closely with the Project Manager, along with an integrated team of design professionals developing design concepts into high quality documents for our clients. Workplace Market Sector:
This position will provide an opportunity to collaborate with integrated design teams on workplace, community, government and non-profit projects of various sizes and complexity.
Responsibilities Include:
• Work on a variety of project types, including tenant improvements and renovations of existing buildings.
• Drawing production work through all project phases.
• Coordinate drawings with specifications prepared by other team members.
• Consultant coordination, including M/E/P, structural, furniture and AV.
• Provide technical oversight for project teams and make independent decisions for projects and project teams.
• Coordinate project documentation with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Review and implement building codes, ensure code compliance and constructability.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team and implement recommendations.
• Participate in all aspects of construction administration duties including site visits, shop drawing reviews, RFI’s, change orders, review pay applications, etc.
• Receive project direction from the Project Manager and Designer, may lead some projects.
• The ability to take an active role in project pursuit & presentations to clients is a real plus.
Client Interface:
The project team works together on developing a positive relationship of trust with our clients and fostering a commitment to external and internal client service.
Your role includes the following:
• May regularly communicate with clients to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and delivery of final presentations.
• May work with Project Manager, Designer and client to confirm objectives and formulate options.
• May prepare and conduct design and technical presentations for team and/or clients.
• May participate in marketing efforts.
• May assist with project pursuit and client management.
Your Skills, Experience and Competencies:
• 5+ years of relevant experience with licensure in process or completed.
• While you may work on a variety of project types, our need is for a Project Architect with experience in workplace, community, government, and non-profit project types.
• You have experience in all phases of architectural design (SD-CA) and the ability to coordinate all aspects of assigned projects.
• You provide attention to detail, good organizational skills, excellent follow-through skills, can juggle multiple tasks and multiple priorities as well as consistently meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in the use of Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary & Benefits:
Compensation for the Project Architect role will be based on candidates work experience, education and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of an offer. Individuals in this role working more than 32 hours a week are eligible to participate in our benefit programs which include bonuses, profit sharing, 401K contributions, paid time off, continuing education, licensure & professional memberships as well as medical, dental, vision, life and short/long term disability programs. We offer a flexible hybrid work environment allowing employees to work remotely two days a week.
