This role offers a unique opportunity to apply architecture design expertise in building envelope assessments, construction defect analysis, and failure investigations for a diverse range of projects. What You’ll Do:
-Conduct forensic investigations of building failures, including structural deficiencies, water intrusion, material failures, and code compliance issues.
-Perform on-site evaluations, document findings, and prepare detailed forensic reports.
-Analyze architectural and construction documents to assess compliance with standards and best practices.
-Work closely with engineers, contractors, attorneys, and insurance professionals to provide expert insights and recommendations.
-Develop and present remediation strategies, repair solutions, and cost estimates.
-Provide litigation support and expert testimony when necessary.
-Stay current with industry advancements in building materials, forensic techniques, and code requirements.

-No previous forensics experience required!

About You:
-Licensed Architect (AIA) in Minnesota. Other states a plus
-10+ years of experience with a wide range of buildings preferred
-Strong knowledge of construction methods, building envelope systems, waterproofing, and structural design
-Experience with building codes, ADA compliance, and construction litigation support is a plus
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing building performance issues
-Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and forensic analysis tools
-Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and client interactions
-Ability to travel for site investigations and client meetings as needed
