Description
Architect II / Architect III
This is a brand-new opportunity for an Architect II / Architect III that is interested in revitalizing the past and thoughtfully integrating it with the future.
From adaptive reuse projects to sensitive historic restorations, this role will preserve architectural legacy. We are seeking a talented Architect II or Architect III to join a collaborative studio, bringing expertise and enthusiasm for complex remodels, additions, and preservation work.
What You’ll Do:
-Lead or contribute to design and technical development of remodels, building additions, and historic preservation projects.
-Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal team members through all project phases (SD through CA).
-Produce and oversee detailed construction drawings, specifications, and code review documents.
-Research historic buildings and materials, and incorporate findings into restoration or adaptive reuse strategies.
-Review existing building conditions and conduct site investigations to inform design decisions.
-Assist in securing planning, zoning, and preservation board approvals.
-Participate in construction administration, including site visits, submittal review, and RFIs.
-Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing efforts.
Qualifications:
-Professional degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
6–12 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years focused on existing buildings or renovation projects
-Licensed Architect in Minnesota. NCARB certification is a plus
-Familiarity with building codes, ADA, and standards related to historic preservation
-Excellent communication, coordination, and technical drawing skills
-LEED accreditation is a plus
-Ability to travel for site investigations and client meetings as needed
