______
Clarence (“Cap”) Wigington (1883-1967), was the first African American municipal architect in the United States and the first licensed African American architect in Minnesota.
The MAF has received an unexpected and deeply generous commitment from an anonymous donor to provide a $50,000 donation to the Wigington Fund, if fundraising of new dollars from others can match this amount. You can help us reach this goal by:
- Making a donation of any amount!
- Recruiting donors within your circle
- Sharing this message with your network
Created in 1992 the Wigington Scholarship supports students of color who have a specific interest in pursuing a professional architecture degree leading toward becoming a registered architect.
