Description

Hennepin County’s Facility Services is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Planner Project Architect to manage the planning, programming and pre-design aspects of healthcare facility projects, and serve as an internal owners’ representative and subject matter expert on large, complex medical facility projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging and leading a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of internal healthcare staff as well external professional consultants. This position will guide the planning efforts to create patient-centric healing environments to optimize healthcare delivery and advance the quality of healthcare services at Hennepin County and at Hennepin Healthcare System.

Candidates must have:
• A National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture and four years or more post licensure experience as an Architect including professional experience in project development, preparation of contract documents, construction contract administration, and construction management.
AND
• Must hold a current license from the MN Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (MN Board of AELSLAGID).

Position type: Full time, permanent and benefit earning Location and hours: This position is hybrid and will be performed on-site at various project locations within Hennepin County, Minnesota and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
