Description
Shelter Architecture is seeking a Project Architect to join our team. Shelter conceives and executes highly inventive design solutions for people and organizations who have a deep appreciation of great design. We are currently in search of a self motivated, organized and highly creative Architect with 5-8 years of experience. This team member is expected to be competent in all conventional aspects of architecture.- Perform work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Independently solve problems encountered.
- Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex issues and supervisory approval on proposed project plans.
- Serve as the primary client liaison for small to mid-sized residential projects to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s delight.
- Must possess knowledge of architecture practice with emphasis on design, building materials, construction methods, integration of engineering disciplines, and building costs/codes.
- Provide direction to primary and developing staff.
- Responsible for project budget and management and cost control.
- Must be technically proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape and the Adobe suite.
