Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes and oversee construction administration for our architectural projects. This dual role ensures our designs are executed to the highest standards, from drawing development through construction completion. You will be the go-to expert for ensuring compliance with codes, specifications, and design intent while managing on-site responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
QA/QC Duties:
-Review and analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with codes and standards.
-Conduct regular audits of project documents to identify and mitigate potential issues before construction.
-Develop and maintain QA/QC processes and checklists.
-Mentor and support project teams in adhering to QA/QC protocols.
-Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve discrepancies.
Construction Administration Duties:
-Serve as the primary point of contact during construction, representing the design team on-site.
-Conduct field visits to monitor progress and ensure construction aligns with the design intent and contract documents.
-Review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch lists.
-Address construction challenges, providing timely solutions to keep projects on track.
-Maintain detailed records of field observations, communications, and project documentation.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
-5+ years of experience in architecture, including QA/QC and construction administration roles.
-Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
-Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
-Architectural license preferred but not required.
