Explore how an airport terminal building, completed in 1962 was modified to accommodate the evolving requirements of the traveling public in 2024 and beyond.

Learning Objective 1: Discuss the integrated coordination effort that took place between the design and airport teams from programming through construction administration phases of the projects, providing solutions that met the clients’ goals to reduce congestion, increase capacity, optimize the passenger flow, and maximize the use of the existing facility.
Learning Objective 2: Explore the universal design solutions throughout the passenger experience, from curbside to security screening.
Learning Objective 3: Describe the materials and building systems required to address sustainability while improving the passenger and tenant experience, including the energy efficient enhancements to the existing systems, as well as the use of emerging technologies.
Learning Objective 4: Identify the phasing approach used to maintain a functioning Ticketing Hall and Baggage Claim while accommodating building code requirements, and providing a facility that is secure, maintainable, and functional for the airlines
