The Minneapolis Chapter of AIA Minnesota hosts several events throughout the year to bring members together for networking and recognition. They include lunch programs, the Minneapolis Preservation Awards, the Merit Awards, the annual Golf Outing, and more.

Doors Open Minneapolis

Doors Open Minneapolis is a weekend-long event that allows the public free, behind-the-scenes access to buildings in the City of Minneapolis that are architecturally, culturally, or socially significant.

Minneapolis Preservation Awards

The Minneapolis Preservation Awards recognize preservation projects, additions to historic structures, new construction in historic districts, advocacy, and leadership. Submissions for the 2024 program are closed.

AIA Minneapolis Golf Outing

Our annual golf outing occurs on July 29, 2024 and is held at Majestic Oaks Golf Club. It is a great day of golf followed by an enjoyable dinner and banquet with lots of prizes! The golf tournament raises money for the Minnesota Architectural Foundation. Event is limited to 288 golfers, taken on a first come basis.

AIA Minneapolis Bowling Nite

The AIA Minneapolis Chapter Bowling Nite is typically held in March at Bryant Lake Bowl in South Minneapolis. Organized by AIA Minneapolis Chapter Strike Force. Watch for more details to come.

Student Scholarships

The chapter annually awards University of Minnesota, School of Architecture and Dunwoody College of Technology, School of Design students with a merit-based fellowship scholarships.  This year’s scholarship was enhanced by a grant from AIA’s Component Matching Scholarship Grant program.
