MINNEAPOLIS, February 13, 2025—Congratulations to the two Minnesota architects elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in 2025. AIA Fellows are recognized with the AIA’s highest membership honor for their exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society. Architects who have made significant contributions to the profession and society and who exemplify architectural excellence can become a member of the AIA College of Fellows. Only 3 percent of the AIA members have this distinction.

Karen Lu, FAIA, is an associate principal and design director at Snow Kreilich Architects. Karen elevates excellence in architectural practice through her values-based leadership. She actively cultivates equity in the profession while advancing and expanding the impact of design excellence in the built environment.

Tate Walker, FAIA, is an associate principal and leads the Minneapolis office of OPN Architects. Tate’s work transforms the architectural profession through climate positive design with his practice, knowledge sharing, and advocacy across the country.
