Now you have all the great ideas of your skyscraper. How to pick among the options? Decisionmaking is always a tough step. One design involves tons of decisions made by various people.
Generally, some decisions can be made internally by the design team, some are made by the design and construction team, stakeholders, people in powder, etc..

Be creative to build a “box” as quickly as possible. Can you make a box model in 5 minutes?

Tearing models
As an easy start, using 3×5 note cards ($1,000 per unit) and a 1’ strip of tape ($5,000 per unit), design and build a tower to support as much weight as possible as far off of a tabletop for the least amount of money. You can bend, fold, and tear, but you can only use your hands and the tape to assemble.
Associate the building’s programs, height, total weight supported, and total cost with your big story.

Be creative. Check out what materials by hand. Build study models with them. You may be inspired by Day 3 Activity 3.
After making several building options, test them on a site model.
Search for site photos or document information on-site for the things you would love to include in your site model, such as surrounding buildings, streets, sidewalks, etc..
Note: no matter how you build the site, make sure your building models fit in the site models. And leave the space for your building models.
