Description: Perkins+Will’s Minneapolis office is seeking a talented planner/designer for a full-time position in the Campus Planning, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture studio. Candidates must be highly skilled in conceptualizing landscape and urban design projects. Within Perkins+Will’s global practice, the Minneapolis studio promotes design excellence, sustainability, community focus and interdisciplinary thinking in a collaborative working environment. Our multidisciplinary practice works heavily in College and University settings across the United States. We also participate in every other market sector and geographic area of the larger firm – including internationally. Key responsibilities for the position include: • supporting campus-scale planning and design from inventory/assessment to conceptualization and design guidelines • supporting building and site-specific planning and design from conceptualization through construction documents • supporting graphic design for final reports, marketing and outreach • supporting client communication and participatory work sessions Interested candidates should submit one complete pdf including cover letter, resume, planning and design examples via Maximum size of the document is 4mb.

Info: To be successful, candidates will have the following attributes: • Professional registration. • Dual degrees. • 6-10 years of progressive design experience. • Approach to contemporary planning and site design that is consistent with Perkins+Will’s commitment to modern, sustainable design. • Ability to conceptualize across a broad range of scales and project types, from campuses and urban environments at a planning level to site design at a detailed level. • Design and technical experience at a consistently high level of accomplishment. • Strong conceptual thinking with an ability to communicate ideas both graphically and verbally. • Strong work ethic and desire to learn new skills in support of a growing planning and urban design practice. • Ability to take ownership of tasks, projects and responsibilities. • Capacity to work across multiple platforms, including: hand graphics (sketches and renderings) AutoCAD; AutoDesk Revit; Adobe Illustrator; Adobe InDesign; Photoshop; SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite. • 3D Visualization is an asset. Minimally a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design from an accredited program (Bachelor’s degree in complementary field and/or second design degree preferred). EOE
