We have a full-time opening for a Architectural Technician with 3-6 years experience in our Minneapolis office.

Responsible for development and implementation of architectural designs, layouts and details concepts under the supervision of Project Architect/Interior Designer. Will prepare schematic, design development and construction documents through thorough knowledge and skills in AutoCAD & Revit including layers, redlines and an understanding of code. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the fields of restaurant and hospitality, retail, corporate and financial services.

Key Tasks:
Position will work primarily in AutoCAD/Revit in creation of appropriate level of details in architectural and interior designs. Assists with preparation of documents and data for meetings and attends meetings as appropriate. Responds to redlines and makes changes to documents to ensure overall quality. Reports daily and weekly progress to Project Manager. Takes responsibility for delivering 100% details and ensuring reviews take place at mid point and end point before documents are submitted to client or contractor. Takes initiative in problem solving on documents and ensuring quality delivery. Understands hours and budgets on the project work and works within those parameters. Work within fast paced project schedules and need to work on multiple projects and multiple deadlines simultaneously. Understanding of coordination of consultants and contractors and beginning level communications with consultants and contractors as directed.

Knowledge Required:
Familiarity of the architectural design, codes and construction process required. Solid architectural design and drafting skills. Some knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical and acoustical engineering, and building codes. Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit.
