This is a temporary unclassified assignment that will last a year or could be extended out three years. It will get insurance/benefits per the bargain contract.
This position will provide structural engineering design, specifications and construction documentation for building projects provide project management and program delivery of Salt Storage buildings needing remediation or new facilities.
Minimum qualifications:
Applicants must be licensed as a professional Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design or be able to obtain licensure through reciprocity
AND
--Professional experience in the principles and practices of structural engineering as it relates to buildings, sufficient to develop and produce construction plans and specifications;
--Knowledge of structural engineering to review projects, plans and provide direction regarding changes and modifications;
--Experience using engineering software, such as CAD software;
--Ability to perform and document calculations for review by others and to clearly communicate intent via oral and written communication means.
